How far is St Augustine Beach and can you see the ocean from the home?
St Augustine Beach is about 150 yards from the unit, a short 3 minute walk. The ocean itself is not visible from the home, but the hot tub is 5 steps and main pool only 50 yards away!
How far is downtown St Augustine?
Downtown St Augustine is about a 10 to 15 minute drive depending on traffic. During special times of the year such as Nights of Lights, parking can be limited and you may be better off taking a taxi, shuttle service, or Uber.
Do you provide bedding and towels for the home?
Yes! All linens and bedding are included
Are there laundry facilities available?
Yes! Not only are they available, there is a full size washer and dryer in the unit for the convenience of my guests.
I'm concerned about the COVID-19 virus. What steps are you taking to ensure the safety of the guests?
The unit is thoroughly cleaned and disinfected and all linens and bedding washed between each guest.
How far is the nearest grocery store?
Publlix supermarket is one half mile north of the complex, along with other restaurants, shops, and Starbucks
Are pets allowed?
Unfortunately, due to association rules, no pets of any kind are allowed. However, there is a great pet kennel service in St Augustine.
Is there a minimum stay requirement?
For rentals in January, February, and March, my home is available daily, weekly, or monthly rentals. For June and July, there is a one week minimum. For all other times, there is a three night minimum
Is a deposit required and if so, how much? When is the payment due?
We require a down-payment to secure a reservation, which must be made on a major credit card (MASTERCARD, VISA, DISCOVER). We do not accept checks for the Reservation Down-Payment. This down-payment varies depending on the rental property, rental fees and length of stay. The minimum Down-Payment is reflected on your booking in the Initial Payment Due and includes a nonrefundable Booking Fee. Typically, the minimum Down-Payment is $500 plus the Booking Fee or 100% of the total reservation charge. For all reservations of 28 days or more, the Down-Payment is $1000 or 25% of the total rental fee, whichever is greater. Note this is a Reservation Down-Payment and NOT a Security Deposit. The specific payment terms are included in the Reservation Confirmation.
What happens if there is a hurricane, tropical storm, or some other unforseen development?
The cancellation policy does not provide refunds for unforeseen developments such as illnesses, virus, pandemics, lightning, rain, flood, red tide, inclement weather, other natural disasters/acts of nature, or similar events that can affect your vacation. The cancellation loss due to inclement weather such as hurricanes may be avoided if “Travel Insurance” is purchased. We strongly recommend that you purchase Travel Insurance which is offered as an option with every reservation. You can learn more about Vacasa's Travel Insurance offering here.
What do I do if I have a problem with the home during the stay?
The property manager and maintenance personnel are available to handle any issues you may have. There is also a 24 hour per day courtesy officer that provides assistance and security. However, please note that the resort office has no authority to help and you must contact our property manager directly with any issues.
Are beach chairs, toys, coolers, etc. provided?
No beach gear is provided by the home, however, there may be items left by previous guests you are welcome to use if available. There is also a beach chair and umbrella rental company called Barney’s Beach Service that will set up and take down for you
Is smoking allowed in the unit or on the patio?
The home as well as entire complex is a non-smoking resort. Therefore, there is no smoking allowed within the complex. Violators are subject to a $250.00 smoke remediation fee
Do I have to climb stairs to get to the unit or is it on the ground floor or elevator accessible?
No climbing stairs or taking the elevator is required! Our home is conveniently located on the ground floor for easy access. Who wants to carry groceries and beach gear upstairs anyway? :)
